Position: Legal Assistant
Location: New York, NY (Onsite Monday–Thursday, Remote Friday)
Schedule: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
Pay Range: $35-/hr.-$44/hr
3 months contract
Position Summary
The Legal Assistant provides comprehensive administrative and legal support to two senior executives. This role requires strong calendar management, document handling, and organizational skills, along with a high level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage heavy calendars, schedules, and meetings for two executives.
- Interact professionally with senior-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and manage documents, including meeting agendas and correspondence.
- Handle document formatting, redlining, proofreading, obtaining signatures, and distribution.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with all matters and documents.
- Assist with departmental tasks, such as conference room requests and mail management.
- Complete other administrative and departmental projects as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of administrative support experience, preferably in a legal or corporate setting.
- Strong calendar management experience supporting senior-level executives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and document management systems (e.g., NetDocuments).
- Experience handling redlined documents and general office duties (photocopying, scanning, filing).
- High level of discretion and confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working in a law firm or corporate legal department.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to be proactive, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
- Team player who asks questions, works well with other executive assistants, and supports coordination across teams.
Education
- No specific degree required; prior administrative or legal training preferred.|
