Legal Assistant for its Litigation group.
This
Litigation Legal Assistant position enhances the effectiveness of our litigation attorneys by performing a variety of duties such as drafting and formatting letters, briefs, pleadings and other legal documents; managing calendars for meetings, depositions; making travel arrangements; and being familiar with court process and procedures while filing court documents through State and Federal electronic filing systems.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Process State and Federal electronic court filings
- Complete administrative duties such as making copies, answering and directing phone calls
- Coordinate and manage calendars for meetings, depositions, court hearings and travel arrangements
- Drafting and/or formatting legal briefs, pleadings and correspondence
- Electronically manage and maintain files containing legal documentation and correspondence in strict confidence
- Communicating with clients, courts and outside counsel
- Assist with and maintaining time, billing records and invoicing issues
- Outstanding communication skills with clients, staff, court administrators and judges
- Transcribing dictations
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Proficient in State and Federal electronic court filings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to take direction and work independently with little or no supervision
- Ability to keep and maintain confidential information regarding clients and firm issues
- An ability to quickly grasp firm specific software
- Manage calendars for meetings, depositions, and/or court hearings
- Proficient typist
- Ability to be adaptable to various office situations
- Familiarity with family law would be a plus
Qualifications
- 3+ years' working experience as a litigation legal assistant
- 2+ year experience processing State and Federal electronic court filings
- Two-year degree or equivalent work experience
