Job Description:
The Talent Community Product Owner is accountable for maximizing the value delivered by the Talent Community product and lifecycle (portal experience + candidate/Staffer journeys), enhancing the overall experience within the Job Duck Talent Community, from Candidates preparing for placement to Staffers advancing in their careers.
This role owns the Talent Community product vision and roadmap, prioritizing the backlog to maximize member quality, readiness, and placement outcomes. Working through the Talent Community Committee and delivery partners, it aligns cross-functional efforts,establishesclear product goals, managestradeoffs,and drives continuous improvement, using data to support broader organizational goals.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead continuous improvement by using candidate/Staffer feedback and performance data to identify friction, run pilots/A/B tests when appropriate, scale what works, and stop what doesn’t.
Run the Talent Community Committee cadence for intake, prioritization, decisioning, escalation, and dependency management, keeping stakeholders aligned on priorities, constraints, and rationale.
Own and maintain a transparent backlog and roadmap, prioritizing by value, effort, risk, and dependencies, and pushing back on misaligned requests to protect focus and capacity.
Requirements:
• 3+ years in a Product Owner (or equivalent) role with backlog ownership and demonstrated prioritization authority.
• Experience defining success metrics (KPIs) and using performance insights to reprioritize roadmaps/backlogs.
• Familiarity with experimentation and measurement (A/B testing, segmentation/cohorts, funnel analysis).
• Experience leading cross-functional governance (cadences, decisioning, escalation, dependency alignment) and managing stakeholder tradeoffs.
• Experience partnering with technical delivery teams in iterative environments (preferred).
• Experience in staffing, talent acquisition, onboarding, lifecycle programs, or talent development (preferred).
