Our client, a top media and entertainment company, is seeking a Legal Affairs Coordinator / Legal Assistant to provide high-level administrative and legal support to two senior attorneys in their Corporate Legal Department in New York City. This is a temporary contracted position covering a leave of absence and requires a proactive, organized, and discreet individual comfortable working in a fast-paced, professional legal environment.
- Location: New York, NY
- Schedule: Onsite Monday–Thursday, Remote on Fridays, 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Duration: 3-month temporary assignment
- Pay Rate: Up to $40/hour depending on experience
Responsibilities:
- Manage complex calendars, schedules, and meetings for two high-level executives.
- Coordinate with senior executives across the company and external organizations.
- Prepare and manage legal and administrative documents, including meeting agendas, correspondence, and redlined contracts.
- Proofread, format, and distribute legal documents; ensure version control and proper signatures.
- Maintain strict confidentiality on all sensitive matters and documentation.
- Handle departmental administrative tasks such as conference room requests, mail processing, photocopying, and scanning.
- Collaborate with other executive assistants to coordinate meetings and shared initiatives.
- Support additional departmental projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of administrative support experience, preferably in a legal or corporate setting.
- Strong calendar management experience supporting multiple executives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and NetDocuments.
- Experience redlining and formatting legal documents.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Demonstrated discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information.
Preferred Qualifications
- Legal secretarial background or experience supporting attorneys.
- Prior experience at a law firm or within a corporate legal department.
