Role Description The Legal Assistant – Litigation in Miami, Florida is a full-time, on-site role supporting attorneys in all phases of litigation. This position involves preparing, formatting, and organizing legal documents and pleadings, managing case files and calendars, and assisting with court filings and electronic document submission. The Legal Assistant will coordinate communications with clients, courts, and opposing counsel, schedule meetings and depositions, and help maintain accurate records and deadlines. Daily responsibilities also include general administrative support such as drafting correspondence, organizing discovery materials, and assisting with trial preparation and hearing logistics. The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a solid understanding of law and litigation processes, including familiarity with court rules, procedures, and legal terminology.
- Candidates should possess skills in legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, proofreading, and organizing pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
