Omega Healthcare Management Services is seeking a Manager of Behavioral Health Strategy & Operations to lead the development of their behavioral health service line. This role involves designing strategies, developing operational models, and ensuring compliance across various behavioral health segments while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Define and maintain standard service delivery models and the “Master Playbook” for all BH sub-segments, aligning with market dynamics, payer trends, and regulatory requirements
- Lead the functional design of BH outsourcing and consulting engagements, ensuring operational viability and clinical compliance
- Serve as the lead Subject Matter Expert (SME) for strategic client pitches and RFP responses, developing compelling value propositions and ROI models
- Design and govern revenue cycle standards specific to behavioral health, including prior authorization protocols, parity law compliance, and multi-state reimbursement logic
- Establish and monitor KPIs and clinical metrics to evaluate the performance and health of BH engagements
- Define functional requirements for BH technology platforms (EHR, Telehealth, AI tools, patient engagement) to optimize clinical workflows
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to integrate virtual-first care models and automation across the organization
- Deliver “Train-the-Trainer” programs to scale BH expertise and serve as the final authority on complex regulatory matters (HIPAA, parity laws, state mandates)
- Produce thought leadership content, including white papers and presentations, to position the organization as a leader in behavioral health
Skills
- Bachelor's degree required
- 7+ years of progressive experience in behavioral health, with at least 4 years in strategy, operations, or service line leadership role
- Demonstrated experience designing clinical/operational models, playbooks, and delivery frameworks across multiple BH sub-segments (Outpatient, Digital Therapy, Autism, or Eating Disorder)
- Proven track record as an SME in client-facing settings, including RFPs and executive presentations with the Behavioral Health Team
- Strong background in BH revenue cycle management, prior authorizations, and payer contracting
- Experience with BH technology platforms and digital/virtual care model implementation
- Deep knowledge of behavioral health regulations, including parity laws and HIPAA
- A master's degree in healthcare administration, business, or a clinical field (LCSW, LPC, RN, or similar) is highly preferred. All other professional licenses or certifications in relation to this role will be reviewed
