We are looking for a dedicated Legal Practice Assistant to provide comprehensive support to a team of six attorneys specializing in Business Litigation, Finance, Trademark, and Bankruptcy. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced legal environment. Responsibilities:
• Coordinate attorney schedules, including managing calendars, organizing meetings, and arranging travel and conference logistics.
• Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Maintain and organize electronic and physical files using document management systems, ensuring easy access and compliance.
• Conduct legal research and compile relevant materials to support attorneys in case preparation.
• Assist with client and matter intake processes, including administrative tasks and expense reporting.
• Provide backup support to team members, including entering attorney time and managing workload priorities.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with clients, attorneys, and staff to support effective communication and collaboration.
• Uphold confidentiality standards and contribute positively to the team’s environment and overall efficiency.
• High school diploma required; bachelor's or associate degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a legal assistant specializing in transactional and litigation support; appellate experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in State and Federal electronic filing systems and familiarity with document management tools such as iManage or NetDocs.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues and adapting to shifting priorities.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a detail-oriented approach.
