Legal Assistant
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant to support our legal team in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing case files, preparing legal documents, and ensuring effective communication with clients and other stakeholders. This role is vital for maintaining the efficiency and organization of our legal practices.
Key Responsibilities- Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, hearings, and meetings
- Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Manage case files and documentation, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate
- Communicate with clients to gather information and provide case updates
- Conduct legal research to support case preparation
- File legal documents with the court and maintain filing systems
- Schedule appointments, meetings, and court appearances
- Assist in the management of case timelines and deadlines
- Support the litigation team by providing research and administrative assistance
Qualifications- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or a related field
- Proven experience as a legal assistant or paralegal
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation processes and legal terminology
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
- Demonstrated time management skills and attention to detail
- Experience in plaintiff cases and litigation support is a plus
