We are working on 2 Legal Administrative Assistant opportunities in New York City. One is in the New York City office of a medium-sized law firm and one is within the legal department of an asset management firm. Both roles are a great opportunity to be integral parts of busy teams. At least 2 years of experience as Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Executive Assistant, Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant or Practice Assistant in a legal setting is required.
Job Description:
- Provides administrative support to attorneys and other team members
- Draft, edits and proofreads complex legal and administrative documents
- Independently manages a variety of administrative tasks, registering, calendaring, and reporting
- Exhibits outstanding client service orientation in scheduling meetings, and conducting telephone conferences.
- Interacts with team and staff in a professional manner to obtain and provide data, answer questions, and resolve problems.
- Anticipates what administrative tasks are needed and proactively performs them
- Proactively monitors deadlines and ensures that team members are aware of pendency of deadlines.
- Creates, maintains, and retires files in accordance with policies prrocedures
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years of experience supporting attorneys as well as a legal team
- Must be willing to work fully in office to start and then move to hybrid schedule
- Must be willing to work overtime when needed
- Great communication skills (verbal and written)
