Job Description:
Job Duck is seeking a Billing and Legal Assistant to support a busy estate planning and probate practice. This role is central to ensuring accurate billing, maintaining organized records, and assisting attorneys with calendaring and drafting tasks. You will play a vital part in keeping operations smooth and efficient by preparing invoices, tracking time entries, and supporting marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a professional environment where trust and consistency are valued.
• Salary Range: 1150 USD to 1220 USD
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Allocate approximately 50% of time to billing and invoicing while ensuring ethical billing practices. Prepare bills for attorneys and track, review, and verify time entries for accuracy and compliance.
Requirements:
•Location: Washington (Pacific Standard Time)
•Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8 AM to 5 PM PST
•2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant
•Experience with Billing tasks is required
•Familiarity with probate, estate planning, and guardianship matters is helpful
•Software Required: Smokeball
