Role Description The Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal position is a full-time, hybrid role located in Minneapolis, MN. This team member supports attorneys by preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and filings. Daily responsibilities include litigation support, managing calendars, scheduling depositions and court appearances, reviewing and drafting routine legal documents, organizing client files, and assisting with case management and administrative procedures. The role also includes SoS filings, maintaining databases, and coordinating communication with clients, courts, and agencies. The Legal Administrative Assistant/Paralegal contributes to smooth office operations, ensures deadlines are met, and upholds confidentiality and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in law-related support, including familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, and experience with legal document preparation.
- Demonstrated administrative assistance capabilities, including calendar management, file organization, and task prioritization.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and external parties in writing and in person.
- Proven organization skills, attention to detail, and accuracy in handling documents, records, and deadlines.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook and Excel, and e-filing platforms (state and federal).
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and maintain a high level of professionalism in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience in a law firm or legal setting preferred; knowledge of business/construction law and litigation matters is beneficial.
