Consilio is seeking a Legal Support Specialist to support the IP Litigation team of a leading law firm in San Diego. This role combines litigation, administrative, billing, and client support responsibilities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Location: San Diego, CA (Torrey Pines / UTC life sciences hub)
- Schedule: (Hybrid | 4 Days In Office)
- Compensation: $80,000–$120,000 DOE
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, proofread, format, and manage litigation documents, including pleadings, discovery, motions, notices, and correspondence.
- Prepare and coordinate state and federal court filings, e-filings, service of process, and litigation deadlines.
- Support depositions, hearings, and case preparation, including exhibit management and coordination of vendors.
- Manage attorney calendars, meetings, travel arrangements, and document management systems.
- Process billing activities, including time entry, prebills, expense reports, invoices, and audit letter requests.
- Coordinate conflicts checks, engagement letters, new matter intake, and client communications.
- Maintain organized electronic files and support document execution processes, including DocuSign.
- Collaborate with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and internal departments to ensure efficient matter management.
- Assist with business development initiatives, CLE tracking, and process improvement projects.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of litigation support experience within a law firm or legal department.
- Strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, and legal terminology.
- Experience with state and federal e-filing systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems, including iManage.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and proofreading skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Intellectual Property Litigation and/or Patent Litigation experience strongly preferred.
- Experience supporting complex litigation matters.
- Exceptional attention to detail and client service skills.
Compensation
- $80,000–$97,000 (3–9 years of experience)
- $99,000–$120,000 (10+ years of experience)
