O'Hagan Meyer LLC, a national law firm, has an opening for a full-time Legal Assistant in its Seattle, WA office. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience and must be familiar with Labor Employment and other fields of law. This will be full-time, hybrid role.
Responsibilities
· Provide administrative support to lawyers in the preparation, review and filing of legal documents such as briefs, appeals, complaints, answers, etc.
· Conduct thorough case research pertaining to ongoing lawsuits.
· Communicate with clients on various aspects of case proceedings.
· Locate, develop, and manage all case relevant information.
· Draft and proofread legal documents including pleadings, discovery, motions, and briefs.
· Coordinate with legal experts and serve as a liaison for all parties involved.
· Schedule and prepare materials for court appearances.
· Assist attorneys in case preparation by creating and maintaining organizational systems for each case.
· Assist attorneys with trial preparation, develop trial exhibits, and review/organize documents for trial discovery.
· Maintain attorney schedules and calendars.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree, Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
- Prior work experience as a legal assistant, legal secretary, or related role in litigation
- Familiarity with law, legal procedures, and protocols
- Experience in formatting briefs and generating TOCs and TOAs in Word
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Washington state court e-filing systems, PACER and CM/ECF filing systems
- Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a team
- Strong understanding of client confidentiality rules
- Experience using iManage a plus

Salary range: $65K-$85K
