Legal Administrative Assistant – Litigation
Reputable national law firm is seeking a Legal Administrative Assistant to support attorneys within its Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice in the Kansas City office. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
• Manage attorney calendars, scheduling, and travel arrangements
• Prepare, format, and proofread legal documents (pleadings, discovery, correspondence, etc.)
• Coordinate client communications and maintain confidentiality
• E-file documents and track case deadlines (hearings, mediations, trials)
• Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files
• Handle time entry, billing support, and expense processing
• Provide general administrative support and collaborate across departments
Qualifications:
• 3–5+ years of administrative experience (law firm experience preferred)
• Litigation support experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a high-volume environment
