We are looking for a skilled Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join a busy, well-established Immigration Law firm in Miami, Florida. In this contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in supporting attorneys by managing employment-based and family-based immigration cases. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and has hands-on experience preparing immigration forms.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and file immigration forms and petitions, including employment-based and family-based cases.
• Manage a high-volume caseload with accuracy and efficiency while adhering to deadlines.
• Assist attorneys in case preparation and provide administrative support as needed.
• Handle e-filing procedures and ensure compliance with court requirements.
• Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is complete and up-to-date.
• Coordinate calendar management, including scheduling court dates and client meetings.
• Conduct research on immigration laws and regulations to support casework.
• Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and update them on case progress.
• Assist in drafting legal correspondence and documents under attorney supervision.
• Ensure all filings and submissions meet legal standards and guidelines
• Proven experience in employment-based and family-based immigration cases.
• Proficiency in preparing and filing immigration forms and petitions.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Familiarity with e-filing and court filing procedures.
• Knowledge of immigration law and visa petition processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively under attorney guidance.
