Reputable entertainment firm is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to support a team of labor attorneys involved in the negotiation, drafting, and administration of collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) in the entertainment industry. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates considering law school, as well as those pursuing a long-term career as a legal assistant or labor relations professional.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with the drafting, proofreading, and finalization of contracts, including CBA proposals, side letters, and memoranda of agreement.
- Support preparation for bargaining sessions, including organizing files, compiling bargaining history, and taking detailed notes during negotiations.
- Maintain and update internal databases, document repositories, and contract files.
- Conduct targeted research related to contract language, bargaining precedent, and labor issues.
- Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders, union representatives, employers, and external partners.
- Provide logistical and administrative support to attorneys, including scheduling, document tracking, and ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding items.

- Bachelor's Degree (required)
- Exceptional attention to detail, with strong proofreading and document-organization skills
- Ability to work well with others, including prior experience in customer service, client intake, or other collaborative environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Interest in labor relations, entertainment industry issues, or employment law
- Strong writing and analytical abilities
- Experience handling confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with document management systems a plus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines
