Paralegal (Contract)

Summary
This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a newly formed global frontline legal team on a wide range of commercial legal matters. You will serve as a vital resource by triaging incoming legal requests, gathering critical information from business partners, and analyzing applicable legal and compliance considerations. Your work will directly contribute to the efficient resolution of routine legal matters while helping to identify complex issues that require escalation. This role demands strong organizational skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. You will play a key part in maintaining legal self-help resources, improving processes, and ensuring seamless communication between business teams and legal counsel. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, demonstrates a service-oriented mindset, and possesses a genuine passion for technology and continuous learning.
Job Responsibilities
- Triage and route incoming commercial legal matters within a shared frontline workspace to appropriate internal resources and functions
- Support routine legal processes and assist with standard commercial matters requiring legal review
- Escalate complex legal issues to frontline paralegals and senior team members for deeper analysis
- Assist paralegals in gathering data, analyzing legal and compliance factors, and drafting recommended guidance for commercial legal matters
- Maintain, update, and organize legal self-help readiness resources for business partners
- Contribute to process improvements and efficient matter-routing workflows across the team
- Serve as a primary point of contact for routine legal questions from assigned business clients
- Collaborate on project goals within the practice group and contribute to cross-functional team initiatives
- Proactively support attorneys and other department roles on both routine and non-routine legal matters with appropriate supervision
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable legal frameworks, laws, regulations, and industry policies within the specialty area
- Use and maintain company tools, resources, databases, and processes to efficiently achieve work objectives
Requirements
- Minimum zero to two years of experience in paralegal, legal administration, or relevant area
- Experience with legal research tools and document or case management systems, including internal compliance platforms
- Experience drafting and reviewing legal documents with accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards
- Technical proficiency with case management software
- Experience supporting technology companies or law firms preferred
- Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Familiarity with customer relationship management systems is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong project and program management capabilities

- Ability to analyze and understand policies and legal documents

- Pay Range*: $22 - $25 per hour
- Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
