A top‑ranked AM 100 law firm is expanding its International Trade practice and seeking a highly organized, proactive Legal Administrative Assistant to join its Washington, DC office. This is a newly created role designed to support a growing team and provide a clear path for long‑term professional development.

If you have a litigation background, or experience supporting attorneys with heavy calendaring and deadline‑driven workflows, you’ll feel right at home.
Core Responsibilities:
- Heavy calendaring & deadline management across a shared Trade Calendar (filings, agency deadlines, verification responses, travel, etc.)
- Conflict checks, time-entry, expenses, and travel coordination for attorneys and trade analysts
- Preparing and reviewing correspondence, memoranda, and legal documents
- Maintaining and organizing files in accordance with firm policies
- Providing backup billing support for the group (training provided)
- Upholding strict confidentiality and exceptional client service standards
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of law firm experience, at one firm
- Deadline‑driven background (highly preferred)
- Exceptionally organized, detail‑focused, and proactive
- Clear and professional communication
- Tech‑savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Kofax/Nuance, InTapp, LMS+, Adherent, or iManage is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret complex documents related to international trade
- Foreign language skills are a bonus
