Role Description The Legal Assistant will support attorneys with day-to-day case management activities, including organizing case files, scheduling, maintaining calendars, and tracking deadlines for personal injury matters. Responsibilities include preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and forms, as well as managing client intake, updating case information, and responding to routine client inquiries in a professional manner. The role involves coordinating with medical providers, insurance companies, and expert witnesses, and assisting with discovery, document production, and trial preparation. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Hollywood, FL, with a combination of in-office work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
- Foundational knowledge of Law and personal injury practice sufficient to support attorneys in case preparation.
- Proficiency in Legal Document Preparation, including drafting, formatting, and reviewing pleadings, motions, and correspondence.
- Strong Communication skills for interacting with clients, colleagues, medical providers, and external partners.
- Experience in Administrative Assistance, including scheduling, file management, data entry, and maintaining organized case records.
- Prior experience working as Legal Assistants in a law firm or legal environment, preferably in personal injury or litigation.
- High level of attention to detail, time-management skills, and ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency with legal practice management software and standard office tools (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and maintain client confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent practical experience in a legal support role is preferred.
