Legal Assistant
Our client, a regional law firm downtown Denver has an immediate need for a Legal Practice Assistant, to join their Denver office. This role is a great opportunity for a skilled Legal Practice Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment while proactively handling the schedules and needs of busy attorneys in our Litigation and Bankruptcy Practice Groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Drafting, formatting, proofing, and revision of documents
- Assisting with ECF filing and service mailings
- Filing notices, statements, and other documents with various governmental agencies
- Planning and hosting various internal/external meetings; client interaction, including arranging audio/visual (via Zoom), catering and various needs
- Calendaring and travel arrangements
- Zoom and phone assistance
- Records management: create, organize client and internal files
- Tracking all administrative and client-related due dates and deadlines, including time entry and billing
- Preparing, submitting, and monitoring expense reimbursements
- General support to the attorneys in maintaining and building their practice areas
- Various office projects as needed
Required and Preferred Qualifications:
- We require at least 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Practice Assistant or similar position, preferably in a law firm.
- Basic understanding of Bankruptcy, USDC and Colorado State Court Rules preferred.
Our client offers a benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, 401k + match, profit sharing, and vacation/sick/personal time off, in addition, this role pays overtime for hours worked above 40 per week.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Legal Assistant or similar role, preferably in a law firm.
• Familiarity with bankruptcy processes and Colorado State Court Rules is preferred.
• Proficiency in word processing, organization, filing, proofreading, and communication.
• Strong ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities in a dynamic legal environment.
• Self-motivated with the capability to work independently and efficiently.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Zoom.
• Experience with e-filing and managing court filings is essential.
• Knowledge of civil litigation and calendar management is highly desirable.
