Description
You'll support Amazon MGM Studios' Legal team by managing complex administrative operations related to original content production and marketing, and driving efficiency initiatives that directly impact how we operate. In this role, you'll handle high-volume tasks with autonomy, respond with appropriate urgency to time-sensitive situations, and collaborate across multiple internal teams to solve challenges creatively and proactively.
Key job responsibilities
- Support legal teams overseeing production, marketing, labor, and content standards for original film and series projects
- Coordinate contract processes, including routing and execution, document distribution, and contract management across a number of tools and systems
- Prepare short form paperwork, correspondence and notices
- Develop and implement projects that simplify and improve legal team operations and workflows
- Manage relationships with outside counsel, including budget tracking, invoice processing, and vendor communication
- Create training materials and lead sessions to help colleagues understand and effectively use legal tools and resources
- Prepare reports, maintain project trackers, organize meetings
A day in the life
As a Legal Assistant supporting Amazon MGM Studios, you'll balance multiple priorities while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Your day might include coordinating contract execution processes, managing communications with outside counsel, and tracking project metrics that help our team operate more effectively. You'll prepare short form paperwork, reports, and maintain the systems and files that keep our legal operations running smoothly. Beyond routine administrative work, you'll contribute to simplification projects designed to streamline how we work, and you may develop training materials to help colleagues navigate our legal tools and processes. You'll work closely with our legal team and internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and responding with the urgency their requests require.

We are a collaborative legal team supporting Amazon MGM Studios' diverse operations. Our work spans all legal aspects of the original film and series development, production and marketing / distribution lifecycle. Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional or military experience
- 1+ years of administrative assistant experience
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working proactively and independently, meeting deadlines, and delivering on projects and tasks
- Experience in a technology company or other legal experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, or experience handling confidential information and maintaining professionalism in dealing with senior executives
- Experience implementing process improvements

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
