Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Legal Assistant for a highly regarded intellectual property litigation law firm. This is a hybrid opportunity based in New York City, with 3 to 4 days onsite each week.
Position Overview
This Legal Assistant opportunity supports a growing team of attorneys focused exclusively on sophisticated intellectual property litigation matters, including patent, trademark, copyright, and trade secret disputes. The firm is experiencing continued growth following multiple partner additions and is seeking a proactive, organized legal support professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. This role offers excellent exposure to high-level litigation work and is well suited for either an experienced career Legal Assistant or a junior legal professional looking to grow within IP litigation.

Responsibilities
- Support multiple attorneys with all aspects of intellectual property litigation matters
- Manage calendaring, scheduling, court deadlines, and overall case logistics
- Prepare, proofread, format, and file legal documents in state and federal courts
- Assist with trial preparation, depositions, exhibit organization, cite checking, and proofreading of litigation filings and legal documents
- Coordinate attorney scheduling, travel arrangements, and administrative support as needed
- Maintain organized case files while managing multiple priorities in a dynamic legal environment
Qualifications
- Experience supporting litigation attorneys within a law firm environment
- Exposure to intellectual property litigation matters, including trademarks, copyrights, patent litigation, or trade secrets preferred
- Experience with court filings, calendaring, depositions, and trial preparation strongly preferred
- Strong technical proficiency and ability to quickly learn firm systems and litigation platforms
- Excellent communication, organization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
Compensation And Benefits
This position offers a competitive compensation package ranging from approximately $100,000 to $200,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package and hybrid work flexibility.
