Role Overview
Perform legal administrative duties to support the Tort Litigation Practice Group, under the supervision of McDonald’s attorneys and paralegals.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Process a high volume of litigation, attorney rep letters, claims, subpoenas, verifications, management letters and requests for indemnification.
- Liaison with insurance carriers, and defense counsel on proper service and litigation deadlines.
- Proper assessment of documents from our registered agent and appropriately distribute throughout various internal departments.
- Receive in-person service of process for McDonald’s at headquarters and distribute to appropriate teams.
- Process and monitor responses to subpoenas addressed to the Company.
- Receive and disseminate general correspondence for McDonald’s and distribute to appropriate teams.
- Typing, proofreading, copying and distribution of correspondence and legal documents.
- Scheduling meetings and conference calls.
- Developing and maintaining digital filing systems.
- Sending and replying to verbal requests, correspondence and e-mails.
- Handling invoices and accruals.
- Reconciling and submitting expense reports.
- Receiving and providing assistance to visitors.

Experience
- High school or equivalent required.
- Prior legal assistant experience.
- Prior experience in litigation processing preferred.
- Notary Public certification or willingness to obtain.
