Litigation Legal Assistant - Houston

A respected Houston defense law firm located near Greenway Plaza is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Assistant to support attorneys handling trucking, insurance defense, and personal injury litigation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing a busy litigation docket while working closely with attorneys, clients, and courts.

What You'll Do

Provide comprehensive administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout the life of a case.
Manage a large docket, including calendaring, deadlines, hearings, depositions, and court dates.
Prepare, file, and serve pleadings and other legal documents through Texas e-filing systems.
Maintain accurate case files and ensure critical deadlines and case milestones are tracked.
Communicate professionally with attorneys, clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other parties.
Assist with discovery, trial preparation, scheduling, correspondence, and other litigation-related tasks.
Prioritize multiple assignments and shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

What We're Looking For

3+ years of legal assistant experience in a defense litigation firm.
Experience with trucking litigation, insurance defense, and/or personal injury strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Texas court procedures, e-filing, and Houston-area court rules.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Team-oriented professional who works well with a variety of personalities and communication styles.
Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys and support staff.
Comfortable working fully in-office, Monday-Friday.
